Tired of obtaining low numbers of useless visitors for your site? Well i wish to let you know about a fresh underground tactic that produces myself $900 each day on 100% AUTOPILOT. I possibly could be here all day and going into detail but why dont you just check their website out? There is really a excellent video that explains everything. So if your seriously interested in producing simple hard cash this is the site for you. Auto Traffic Avalanche

It's inspiring to see women in Civil Engineering like Teresa Kulesza Goodwin. I am a Civil Engineering student working in Oakland and San Francisco, and I too am trying to reach out to the younger female community. I want to tell everyone about my job so they become informed and interested in becoming engineers :)

The list of reasons to oppose SB1227 is pretty long, in my (admittedly biased) opinion! I hope more people will voice opposition to SB1227.

To help encourage opposition, ACIA has posted an SB1227 Opposition Letter Generator here: http://www.acia.com/SB1227-Letter.html

With the abundance in excess inventory (office, commercial and industrial) this seems logical. I really like Colliers International Market reports to find some of this data. You can find that here: http://www.colliers.com/Corporate/MarketReports/UnitedStates/

I hope you are correct in the assumption that building reuse will be a stronger market than new construction. The links you provided have great and unusual examples of building reuses. My favorite site you provided was the link to http://weburbanist.com the reuse for residential. If more people would try to come up with alternative uses for buildings the better off I think we would all be. We need to work with what we have instead of leaving rundown eye sores all over town in the wake of once booming economies.

Great comment and perspective. I think had the lowest bid not been selected the problems we faced would not have occurred. We currently have only 15 general notes (about 1/6 of a large page), not an entire page like firms who have been in business for 50 years. And yes you are exactly right it is problems like this where these general notes come from. However if the contractor/designer/owner relationship were different I think the process could be much improved. Imagine the money wasted on the first few coats of paint that had to be recovered. I think a team oriented contract where we all win together will eliminate the need for a page of general notes covering every lesson learned from contractors in too big of a hurry to invoice a completed project. Although for small projects like tenant improvements where every dollar counts to a guy just trying to open a candy shop I am not sure low bid is going anywhere anytime soon.

I wonder what a set of plans will look like in the future since every conflict leads to either a new general note or a new paragraph in the specs. I can't wait to unroll a set of plans one day with more general notes than actual plans. I am also looking forwarding to seeing how long it takes for your new elevation note to be adopted by another company and end up on all of their plans. There has to be a point where every little detail does not need to be spelled out. I guess the only hope is that relationships are established between contractors, engineers, and owners in a way as to build trust and an understanding of intended outcomes for each project.
